Why Your Stream Has No EPG for Channels That Definitely Have Schedules

BBC One has EPG data. BBC Two has EPG data. BBC Four has nothing. But BBC Four has a schedule — your seller just doesn't have the data for it.

Here's the thing — EPG data comes from different sources. Some sources cover all BBC channels. Some cover only the main ones. A British IPTV reseller who buys cheap, limited EPG data will have gaps exactly like this. A seller who pays for complete coverage won't.

In most cases, you can't add data for missing channels. The seller must buy better EPG sources. A good British IPTV seller invests in full coverage. A cheap seller buys the minimum and leaves you with blank guides.

What actually works is asking: "What EPG source do you use, and does it cover all UK channels?" A good IPTV reseller UK names a source (like  Rytec) and confirms full coverage. A bad seller says "most channels" — which means many gaps.

Let me give you a real example. A user's British IPTV EPG had data for 30% of channels. The seller said "that's normal." The user switched to a seller with 95% coverage. The difference was night and day. The first seller just didn't want to pay for proper EPG.

Most operators find that EPG coverage is a direct reflection of seller investment. 95%+ is the professional standard.
